Creature From Jekyll Island - a core book for those interested in seeking a comprehensive
understanding of central banking, how we ended where we are, and where
we are eventually headed in terms of the dollar. This is great history
of the Federal Reserve, and how it came to be in its current form.
Written by G. Edward Griffith, it's a doorstop of a book, but you can
also you can also catch the {video overview here}.
Silver Specific :
Get the Skinny on Silver Investing -
an important book by David Morgan (with contributors), a long-time
precious metal analyst and trader. Morgan is as much an insider as any
and he provides a balanced approach to the complicated issue of silver.
Silver Profits in the ’80s -by Jerome Smith, perhaps a
controversial
figure in these markets, but a legend
nonetheless.
This book, while not perfect in every
regard,
contains crucial insight into what really went on
at
the COMEX with silver at the end of the 1970's and at
the dollar high in 1980
Rich Dad's Advisors: Guide to Investing In Gold and Silver: Protect Your Financial Future -by Michael Maloney, who also signed a copy for me! This is a great place to start and easy read. All the bases covered here.
Macro Views- History and Misc Resources
The Fourth Turning: An American Prophecy, William Strauss and Neil Howe: This is a big picture look at history, and the generations that shape it. An oldie, but goodie. This one is worth the look, even if it is just to read about your generation. And it's more uplifting than you might think.
Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed, Jared Diamond
I keep this one on my bookshelf for the “China” chapter alone. When you consider the demographics in some detail, you realize that top-down Managers promoting the purchase of precious metals is no joke for silver demand.
The Party's Over: Oil, War and the Fate of Industrial Societies, by Richard Heinberg
Another macro view on a commodity that may be more important than silver, if you can believe it. Even if you don't believe in peak oil, this is an accessible introduction to the main arguments for and against.
Free Newsletters/Gurus Ted Bulter - - No one knows the silver markets better and no one, I mean no one...understands the dynamics and has done more to right the wrongs of the silver manipulation.
Jason Hommel - Another major voice for silver, Jason has a huge following and now offers a way (through his Mom!) to get vested in silver coins, in small quantities.
David Morgan - Another major player and constant contributer to both the gold and silver worlds. His book, "Get the Skinny on Silver" sits, dog-eared, on my bookshelf.
Adrian Douglas - One of the many string voices of the Lemetropole Cafe (Bill Murphey's paid gold newsletter. Adrian is a gentleman and a tenacious fighter against the Gold Cartel. Read more about him here.
.
Bill Bonner - brilliant writer and economist well worth the look for his weekly essays.
Chuck Butler - He is about as close to the "mainstream" as anyone here, but
able to navigate the Evergreen Bank (his bank) legal team in bringing a
lively discussion centered on the currency markets. Perhaps another one of
those indirect views on Silver, but well worth it.
Hard Money Newsletter Review - My review site where each week (or so) I review a hard money blog or e-newsletter through the perspective of a silver
coin investor.
Lemetropole Cafe - (Free 2-week trial) - Bill Murphey's paid newsletter. I've been a reader for years, and frankly I don't know how I'd get by without the daily commentary, and reminder about how manipulated these markets are and how much physical matters more. I suggest signing up for free trial and check it out.
Ed Steer's Gold and Silver Daily - a free daily market wrap-up from one of the GATA boys -- technical, but well worth the effort and the links.

Do You Want To Know My System For Evaluating Where the Price of Silver is Headed?
This is the bottom line: I know the silver fundamentals and how to make
sense of reality of this investment. And I can show you how to do it, step
by step.
Now here is the crazy part: for a limited time, it isn't going to cost you
anything.
Huh?
That's right... zero, zip, zilch.
Bottom line, I don't have anything to sell you.
Let me explain... I don't need this site to make any money for me. I have
other motivations that drove me to create this site. Maybe someday I will
tell you all of them, but right now let's leave it at this...
I have a huge passion for money, history, and society, and I love sharing it
with people.
Now I want to be absolutely clear here - not all of my motivations are so
altruistic. You can rest assured that I will make create value from this web
site.
But for now, there is no price tag. I might ask you for a testimonial along
the way - but as of today you can tap into my system for examining the full
nature of silver... just fill out this membership form:
