History keeps repeating ...

When will we evolve and take the next step forward instead of continuing the same sad story? It's a fact that we don't need oil. The entire world's energy needs could be easily met by harvesting the unlimited energy the sun gives. Yes, nature does an incredible job of providing, yet as humans we think we can do better. We are part of nature and this world, NOT SUPERIOR TO IT.
Ok, try to bear with me, I'm working my way to the silver.
The sun is why we even exist and is responsible for all life on this planet. Every hour, the sun radiates more energy onto the earth than the entire human population uses in one whole year, this has been known for a very long time. Even at our current poor efficiencies at converting the sun's energy into electricity we would not be wanting. Don't believe me, please check this:
Or do your own Google search. So why has our government (it's for the people, don't you know) not already built the infrastructure to accomplish this (we use to build and engineer the best, respected by the people of the world)??? I guess it's better to kill our brothers and sisters for oil and I'm sure other nefarious goals under the "war on terror" guise. Hey, Gov, history has shown war only creates terror. End this stupidity and bring back those who
really know what it means to SERVE! This isn't Hollywood and it's no movie, there is no glory in killing or being killed.
So will gold prices continue to rise? Will silver take it's rightful spot on the value chart? Well, yes if demand is greater than supply and we are trading in a free market. But like others have stated, does it matter what price it is, when you are measuring value with pretty green paper rectangles? Paper backed by gold ... no ... something better, the reassuring "word" of Uncle Sam. I like the use of ratios other posters are using, compare similar items that both have real value. Will prices continue to rise? Definately, if our bloated, corrupt, Represtatives keep the $$$ presses running to "finance" worthless objectives that benefit "the few" and burden "the many".
Will things get worse before they get better? Should we stockpile silver in the hopes we will "cash in" or because we might need it to barter for the necessities all people require like food, water, and shelter? Do we want to forsake how far and fast we have come at great costs to our environment to revert back to the middle ages? I believe clean, cheap, sustainable energy for all the world's people is key to humanity taking the next step forward in our continuing evolution. And if silver coins can do that, I'm all for it!!!
