Back to Historic Gold: Silver Ratio

by Gene Daniels

Silver will eventually re-value to a level that reflects a) its importance in the modern world, and b) the fact that paper money has been over-issued by governments in a bid to stave-off financial collapse.

When silver is re-valued it will probably over-shoot at first, going to 10/1 ratio with gold, or perhaps even less. Then it will settle back into its historic norm of around 15 or 16 to one oz of gold.

I agree with your reasoning
by: Anonymous

I agree with your reasoning, but I don't look at the historical ratio. Although studying silver history is key, industrial consumption has taken a HUGE chunk at the free-markets ratio and from various sources it seems to now be at 9:1 (or slightly lower). The only reason this hasn't materialized in the silver market before 2010 is because national reserves of silver (accumulated prior to 1970s when silver was cash) were pouring the metal into the industries at low costs to 1)Make a "good" buck in a fiat currency system, 2) support the value of their fiat currency, and 3)support their banks (less metal investors, more electronic cash flows) to attract businesses to establish themselves in their countries. Now those reserves are all empty, investors are hoarding silver bullion, and industrial demand as gone up due to more applications (electronics, medical, etc) and developing countries. I say a fair ratio is 8:1.

Monday announcement
by: Jerry Fares

Well Monday March 28th, should be an interesting day...Will the CFTC do the right thing and place responsible position limits on silver. or Screw all of us! I predict the Screwing!..But that's ok, sooner or later Industry will come to us for silver, and when that happens, GAME OVER for JPMorgan and the rest. Industry will set the price. Also sit tight for the dollar collapse, coming soon. Evil will not triumph over Good! There will be a transfer of wealth, so stock up, take every single oz. off the market. Educate your families and friends! See you all at the BIG PARTY.

Gold/Silver Ratio
by: Anonymous

The way I understand it is with silver being consumed as it is. That there is actually 5 times more gold on planet earth than silver at this time. So the ratio may go to 5:1 silver to gold. Wouldn't that be awesome now! $7000.00 silver WooHoo!

"Silver Coin Investor is cutting edge and has it all...the value I receive from your website and The Lewis and Mariani Silver Letters is far, far greater than the small subscription cost. I am finding that I don't need any other source for silver research and knowledge. Thanks Jeff. I mean that.

So it really has a realistic unrecognized potential that I feel the gold bugs overlook. I read and research a lot of different sources and you help me stay balanced in my approach. Thanks for the course and keep up the good work!"
